I’m Faye Roberts, an independent copyeditor and proofreader of fiction and general nonfiction.
Recent editing projects include academic books, journal articles, memoirs, and business communications. I’ve also proofread fiction, including collections of short stories. Much of my experience includes copyediting for non-native English speakers.
A strong believer in continuing education, I’m a member of ACES (the society for editing) and the Editorial Freelancers Association as well as Sisters in Crime (and its Guppy chapter) — and I’m an approved provider with PubLaunch. I’m also an honorary lifetime member of the Florida Library Association.
Previously I worked as a nonprofit executive and library director and I have a master’s degree in library and information science. I live in the north Florida and metro Atlanta areas.
